WHAT TO SEE THIS YEAR:
Japanese Garden – Explore this traditional strolling garden with paths that wind through landscapes and around ponds. This 7.5-acre garden is filled with cherry trees, Japanese maples, magnolias, bamboo, bridges, and ponds full of koi fish.
Rose Garden – Inspired by the great vistas of Versailles, FWBG’s Rose Garden features hundreds of beautiful blooms. This garden was dedicated in 1933 and is on the National Register of Historic places.
Rainforest Conservatory – Immerse yourself in a lush rainforest experience. This indoor tropical garden takes guests on a meandering journey alongside a rippling stream, behind a waterfall, and between lush plants including orchids, begonias, coconut palms, and cacao trees.

WHAT TO DO WITH KIDS:
• Walk the Texas Native Boardwalk -The Texas Native Boardwalk serves as a “living outdoor classroom” where families can explore and learn about native Texas plants while getting plenty of exercise.
• Experience the Backyard Vegetable Garden – The Backyard Vegetable Garden is a working garden featuring vegetable beds, fruit trees, and a greenhouse. Families can explore and learn about how the food that ends up on our tables starts out.
• Explore Pollinator Pathway – The Pollinator Pathway is a special garden path between the BRIT Building and the Garden Center where you can learn about helpful creatures like bees, butterflies, and hummingbirds! These amazing pollinators travel from flower to flower, helping plants grow and make seeds. Along the path, you’ll see native plants that pollinators love and learn about their incredible journeys. There’s also a fun storybook exhibit to make your visit even more exciting! This garden shows how important these tiny helpers are for keeping our world healthy.
